Pharrell Hopes To Produce New Strokes Album

Pharrell Williams wants to produce the next album by The Strokes, The Neptunes star has revealed.


Speaking to NME, Williams says: "Julian Casablancas and I collaborated on something with Santogold so I'm talking to him about their next record," says the producer, "I want it bad!"


"Julian and I were in the studio together. We came together and did a track for the commemoration of the 100th year anniversary of the Chuck Taylor [Converse shoe]."


"I really wanna do it. I don't know [if The Stokes will use him], but I'd love to [produce the record]."


The Strokes haven't released an album since 2006's 'First Impressions Of Earth'.

Knightley and Paltrow for King Lear

Keira Knightley and Gwyneth Paltrow are to star opposite Anthony Hopkins in a new film adaptation of Shakespeare's 'King Lear'.
The Telegraph reports that Knightley will play Cordelia, the King's (Hopkins) youngest daughter with Paltrow set to play his middle daughter Regan.
The role of eldest daughter Goneril has not yet been cast.
The film, which was announced at the Cannes Film Festival, will have a budget of €35m.
